Chinese dumpling 

Dumplings are traditional Chinese food made from dough stuffed with vegetables or meat, usually minced meat used for dumplings. They can be boiled, steamed or fried.

What are dumplings

Chinese dumplings are minced chicken or meat packed in a wrapper-like dough. The wrapper is made from wheat flour and has a lot of spices mixed with minced meat.

How to make dumplings

Dumplings are made of very less Ingredients. The outside wrap is made of flour and filling requires ground meat with salt, black pepper powder and green onion.

What to serve with dumplings

Dumping can be eaten alone or with some sauces. Traditionally it serves with a special sauce. Below I share the recipe of sauce you will love with dumplings. Super easy and super quick recipe must try.  

How to cook dumplings 

Dumplings can be steamed, boiled or fried which you prefer. As I prefer steamed dumplings.

Recipe of dumplings 

Ingredients:

For wrapper (dough):

2 cup all-purpose flour 
1/4 tsp. Salt
Water for kneading 

For filling:

Ground chicken or beef 250gm 
Salt 1/2 tsp.
1 tsp. Garlic chopped
Black pepper powder  1tsp.
Green onion chopped 3 tbsp. (only green part)

Cooking instructions:

Dough:

Take all-purpose flour, salt and water to make dough. The dough is soft but not plumpy.

Filling:

Take ground chicken or beef, add ginger, garlic paste, salt, black pepper powder and chopped green onions and set aside. 

Making:

Now make a big flat round roti of dough with the help of a roller and cut with a cup or with a round cutter of the diameter of about 5-6 cm and by following this make about 20 round pieces out of dough. Sprinkle some flour so round cuts don't stick with each other. 

Now time to make dumplings from these round cuts. Sprinkle some flour then take a round piece and place filling in the half side and then close the half above it and seal the edges with a fork, press on the edges. Repeat this process and make all dumplings.

Place these dumplings in a steamer and steam for 10-12 minutes. You can also boil and fry these dumplings. After that take them out. Serve dumplings with sauce. Recipe below. 

Sauce recipe :

2 tbsp. Soya sauce 
1/2 tsp. Honey
2-3 garlic cloves chopped
1 tbsp. Chilli sauce 

Instructions:

 Add chilli sauce, soya sauce, chopped garlic and honey. Mix them and the dumpling sauce is ready.
